Spend the day exploring the Mayan's archeological sites that can be found in the region that surrounds these cities. Among the most popular ruins are Chichén Itzá a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Tulum one of the most important trading spots for the Mayas and don't forget to visit the Mayan Museum of Cancun where you can see important pieces recovered from Palenque, Chichén Itzá, Comalcalco, and other important sites.

The Riviera Maya is one of the premier spa destinations in the world with a choice of more than thirty spas and resorts making it the ideal destination with multiple options. This cosmopolitan destination will provide a mix of the big city with an excellent beach. If you want to walk around, the 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is the destination for you, with 22 blocks full of shops and restaurants that will make your visit fun.
